Fire in the hole

That loud sound,

It vibrates throughout your body,

Shaking uncontrollably,

Is He here?

The plateau of tomorrow,

Daisies and butterflies,

If only, to smile,

To climb,

To strip the talons off,

Because I’m getting out of this hell,

One breath, Each step with Him,

Damn it. Keep going. Don’t stop.

I can’t breathe…

There’s fire in the hole.

The Pursuit

Shivering,

Shaking,

I’m tired of running,

From You.

Why do I Run?

Empty

….But God, there is Hope

Confused

….But God, there is Understanding

Anger

….But God, there is Freedom

Staring into the darkness,

He beckons in the bright light,

Where did the flowers go?

Why does the warmth from the sun fade?

It is He who is strong enough to help,

To listen, comfort, strengthen, love…

To love you…

Even if you decide to run,

To let go, to jump, to lose yourself.

It is here…

At the end of myself,

I find you.

When I cannot breathe,

I find you.

The fighting and deep whimpers,

Learning to grasp the next line by speaking life!

I am not alone, for you are with me.

Pappa, Jesus…

Might I just say,

I’m still seeking You.

Change

Change is looked at as positive or negative in most cases based on perception, need, desires, growth, a calling, emotions and feelings.

But if we take a step back…

Can we justify calling anything really negative in the grand scheme of things?

The ebb and flow of life…

It seems complicated by many and orderly to some…but very colorful to others.

Yet still there are shades of gray and days where the dark corners seem easier to find comfort and safety.

It is truly mind over matter?

Or just learning to step back and take a deep breath?

Change.

For growth and development?

For allowing the senses to take a break?

For establishing healthy lifestyle practices?

For finding yourself?

For combating emotional fatigue?

For saying enough is enough?

For discovery and inspiration?

For mental clarity?

…so many ways that change can impact life!

Take a deep, long breath… He knows.

Jeremiah 29:11 Christian Standard Bible (CSB)

11 For I know the plans I have for you”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

War Face

War Face

When you get up in the morning, do you put on your game face or your war face?

I find myself getting up each day to fight the battles inside myself and the outside world…

I choose my War Face.

What does it look like?

Strong, Fierce, Brave, Courageous, Bold, Unwavering…

A Face of many emotions and many colors all blending together to be a Warrior Song!

Eyes!  Yes, the window to the soul.  They tell the story of the journey that the warrior has been on and continues to face each and every day…every moment in time.

Tears that have come and gone…and those that remain…each one tells a story.

Furrowed brow and the deep colors of the warrior’s war paint.

Spiritual Warfare is Real, it is a never-ending battle, always flowing, with many turns, peaks and valleys.

The real question is… do you battle alone or do you go to war with purpose, hope and strength that can only come from the source of all life?

I seek Him.
